Monthly Archives for April 2012
Flipping through Adweek at work, I came across some really clever ads to celebrate Oreo’s 100 Birthday! The idea of the ads is to pull out events in history from the past 100 years, and incorporate the Oreo brand in them. Although some work better than others, the entire concept is really genius and memorable. Which are you favorites? …and yes, the very first text message really was sent in 1992!

I just found out that today, April 27, is World Graphic Design Day! On this occasion, designers reflect and hope how our international network contributes to a greater understanding between people and helps build bridges where divides and inequities exist.

Bitches Get Shit Done
On a 2008 episode of SNL, Tina Fey questioned why more and more women are voting for Barack Obama, not Hilary Clinton, theorizing that it’s because Hillary’s a “bitch”. ” Let me say something about that,” Fey went on. “She is [a bitch]. And so am I. Bitches get stuff done. That’s why Catholic Schools use nuns instead of priests… At the end of the year you hated those bitches, but you knew the capital of Vermont.” (via jezebel)
